The renowned Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati is all set to host the four-day Ambubachi Mela, one of the most significant religious gatherings in the region. Thousands of devotees, saints, spiritual seekers, and tourists from across India and abroad are expected to participate in the event.
According to traditional beliefs, the festival is observed in honor of the Divine Feminine and the power of creation. During the observance, the temple will remain closed for a few days while special religious rituals and customs are carried out. Following the completion of these sacred traditions, the temple will reopen to devotees.
Authorities have finalized all necessary arrangements, including security measures, healthcare services, sanitation facilities, accommodation, and food provisions, to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for the large number of visitors expected during the festival.
