A tragic road accident occurred on the Delhi–Dehradun Highway near the Dadri Overbridge in Meerut, resulting in the death of a canter driver. According to reports, a canter traveling behind a truck heading toward Saharanpur suddenly lost control and crashed into the rear of the truck.
The impact was extremely severe, completely damaging the front portion of the canter. The driver, identified as Sadanand, died on the spot due to the injuries sustained in the collision.
Following the accident, traffic movement on the highway was significantly disrupted, leading to a lengthy traffic jam. Police officials promptly arrived at the scene, removed the damaged vehicles, and worked to restore normal traffic flow. Preliminary investigations suggest that driver fatigue or drowsiness may have been a contributing factor in the incident.
