New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has sought a response from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regarding concerns raised over its on-screen evaluation system. A petition filed by the student organization NSUI has highlighted alleged shortcomings and irregularities in the newly introduced assessment process. While hearing the matter, a division bench of the court issued a notice to CBSE and directed the board to present its position on the allegations.

During the proceedings, CBSE opposed the petition, arguing that it was motivated by political considerations. The board stated that students already have access to mechanisms such as answer-sheet verification and re-evaluation to address their grievances, and that the deadlines for these processes have been extended on multiple occasions. CBSE further requested the court to dismiss the petition.
