A tragic road accident occurred on Saturday morning on NH-28 under the Musrigharari police station area in Samastipur. Near the Hundahia petrol pump, a speeding heavy vehicle collided with a fruit vendor riding a motorcycle, resulting in his death on the spot.
Following the incident, angry villagers staged a protest by blocking the highway, causing a traffic disruption. Upon receiving information, police and administrative officials promptly reached the scene and managed to bring the situation under control through dialogue.
The authorities assured strict action against the driver responsible for the accident, after which the road blockade was lifted. The police have arrested the accused driver, and further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
