748 doctors lost their lives during the first wave of this pandemic
New Delhi . 646 people have lost their lives in the second wave of corona in the country. Giving information about this, the Indian Medical Association said that the maximum number of 109 doctors died in Delhi. 97 doctors died in Bihar and 79 in Uttar Pradesh. After this 43 doctors died in Rajasthan, 39 in Jharkhand, 37 in Gujarat, 35 in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana 34, Tamil Nadu 32, West Bengal 30, Maharashtra and Odisha 23 in Madhya Pradesh. According to the IMA, 748 doctors lost their lives during the first wave of the pandemic.
The increasing cases of corona in India now seem to be decreasing. On Saturday, 1,20,529 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in the country in a day, the lowest in nearly two months and with this the total cases of infection reached 2,86,94,879. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry till 8 am, 3,380 more people lost their lives due to this infectious disease, taking the total number of dead to 3,44,082 while the number of patients under treatment remained below 20 lakh for the fifth consecutive day. The ministry said that new cases of daily infection are the lowest in 58 days. The ministry said that 20,84,421 samples were tested for Kovid-19 on Friday, taking the total number of tests done so far in the country to 36,11,74,142. The daily rate of infection has come down to 5.78 percent, which is less than 10 percent for the 12th consecutive day. The weekly infection rate has also come down to 6.89 percent. According to the data, the number of patients under treatment has come down to 15,55,248 which is 5.73 percent of the total cases of infection. The national rate of people recovering from Kovid-19 is 93.08 percent. The number of people recovering is more than the daily new cases of infection for the 23rd consecutive day.
