Probe Intensifies in Ayodhya Ram Temple Donation Case; Eight Accused Sent to Judicial Custody

The investigation into the alleged embezzlement of donation funds at the Ayodhya Ram Temple has gathered pace. A court has remanded all eight arrested accused to 14 days of judicial custody. Police have not sought custodial remand at this stage. Investigators have reportedly recovered approximately ₹7.985 million (79.85 lakh) from the accused, while one individual has also been accused of participating in the alleged conspiracy.

The case is being investigated by a Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is examining bank accounts, assets, mobile phone records, and suspected financial transactions. Meanwhile, two senior office-bearers associated with the temple trust have resigned from their positions, bringing increased public and political attention to the matter. Based on the preliminary findings, authorities have intensified the investigation and stated that the involvement of other individuals is also being examined. Officials have assured that the inquiry will be conducted fairly, impartially, and with full transparency.
