New Delhi . Farmer leaders who are opposing the Agricultural Law have announced to block all over the country from 12 noon to 3 pm on February 6. At the same time, the Ministry of Home Affairs has extended the period of suspension of internet services at the farmers’ demonstration site Singhu, Ghazipur and Tikri Border till Tuesday night. This information was given by the officials.
Farmers are protesting against the new three agricultural laws of the Center on these three borders. Internet services will be suspended in these places as well as the surrounding areas. This arrangement started from 11 pm on 31 January and will continue till 11 pm on 2 February.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said that under the Temporary Suspension of Telecom Services (Public Emergency or Public Safety) Rules 2017, this decision has been taken for “maintaining public safety and avoiding public emergency”.
