VD Satheesan Appointed as Kerala’s New Chief Minister

The suspense surrounding the Chief Minister’s post in Kerala has finally come to an end. The Congress party officially announced the name of VD Satheesan during a press conference held on Thursday. Ever since the assembly election results were declared on May 4, discussions and speculation regarding the chief ministerial candidate had continued across political circles.

After nearly ten days of deliberations, the party reached its final decision and entrusted Satheesan with the responsibility of leading the state. On this occasion, AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal welcomed the announcement and expressed confidence that Kerala would witness a new direction under the leadership of VD Satheesan. He also extended his best wishes to Satheesan for his new role and responsibilities.
