In Aligarh, police successfully thwarted a planned revenge killing, uncovering a major contract murder conspiracy. The plot was linked to the broad daylight killing of builder Zulfikar alias Ladle Khan on July 21 last year. His brother, Shahji Khan, had been seeking retaliation ever since. After months of planning, he allegedly hired shooters from Delhi and Badaun, offering ₹1 million to eliminate the accused, Adam. The assailants were provided with weapons and photographs of the target. The attack was scheduled for May 6, but timely police intervention led to the arrest of Shahji and three others. One suspect remains absconding.
