Washington: Although a direct war between Iran and the United States has not officially begun, diplomatic and military tensions between the two nations remain at an extremely high level. Amid recent developments in which U.S. President Donald Trump announced and later postponed a potential timeline for military action against Iran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has made a sensational claim.
Referring to a recent report presented before the U.S. Congress, Araghchi stated on social media that Iran’s armed forces had, for the first time, successfully shot down America’s highly advanced and widely discussed F-35 fighter aircraft. He further warned that after gaining hard lessons from previous military confrontations, Iran could deliver even more unexpected and surprising responses if another conflict were to erupt in the future.
