Kolkata: In a tragic incident early Friday morning, a man lost his life after being trapped inside a lift at the trauma care center of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. The incident triggered tension within the hospital premises, with serious concerns being raised over safety arrangements and alleged negligence by the administration.
According to available information, the deceased was a relative of a patient admitted to the hospital. He had boarded the lift to reach the fifth floor when it suddenly malfunctioned and got stuck midway due to a technical fault.
