Devotees made a record-breaking contribution to the Tirupati Balaji Temple just before the implementation of its revised donation policy. According to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board, donations totaling approximately ₹96.98 crore were received within 24 hours. Many devotees contributed amounts ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹25 lakh, while two donors each offered more than ₹1 crore. The new policy, effective from July 15, revises several lifetime benefits previously available to donors. TTD stated that the updated system aims to improve transparency in donations while enhancing temple management and providing a smoother darshan experience for all devotees.
