Big News

Mumbai: French President Emmanuel Macron will arrive in India for a four-day official visit. During his stay, he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mumbai. In view of this high-profile visit, stringent security arrangements have been put in place across the city on Monday.

Significant traffic diversions have also been implemented today, February 17, along the Western Express Highway. Ajit Borhade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Mumbai, has issued a circular detailing these arrangements.

According to the advisory, heavy vehicles will not be permitted to enter the stretch from Vakola Flyover to Dahisar Toll Plaza between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday. However, the highway will remain open to regular vehicles in both directions. Due to enhanced security measures, commuters may experience slower traffic movement at certain points.
