Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has questioned the decision to leave Vaibhav Suryavanshi out of the T20I series against Ireland. According to Shastri, the playing conditions in Ireland were well-suited to the young batter’s style and would have provided him with valuable international exposure.
He emphasized that Vaibhav has already proven his talent with an impressive IPL campaign and possesses the fearless approach needed to change the course of a match. Suryavanshi was also overlooked for the opening T20I against England. Meanwhile, calls are growing for the youngster to replace Sanju Samson in the second T20I, as Samson continues to struggle for form.
