Karnataka Cabinet Expanded: 20 Congress MLAs Sworn in as Ministers

The Karnataka government expanded its cabinet on Monday evening during a swearing-in ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru. Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot administered the oath of office and secrecy to 20 Congress legislators. Among the newly appointed ministers, 12 were inducted into the cabinet for the first time, while 8 were reappointed with ministerial responsibilities. The ceremony was attended by several senior leaders, including Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. Gayathri Shantigouda, the only woman legislator in the new cabinet, was also sworn in as a minister. Following approval from the Congress leadership, all ministers assumed office and pledged to work for the state’s development and public welfare.
