According to a global public opinion survey, Indians’ trust in U.S. President Donald Trump and their overall perception of the United States have fallen to their lowest levels in the past 25 years. The survey found that 39% of Indian respondents expressed confidence in Trump, while Russian President Vladimir Putin received support from 51%. The rankings also included the Prime Ministers and Presidents of Israel, France, Ukraine, and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Overall, 45% of Indians viewed the United States positively, while 31% held an unfavorable opinion—the highest recorded negative rating to date. Compared with the previous year, the survey reflects a significant decline in public confidence toward the U.S. and its leadership.
