Heavy rainfall on Monday morning brought significant relief to residents of Delhi-NCR from the intense heat and humidity that had prevailed in recent days. The sudden change in weather led to a noticeable drop in temperature, creating a more comfortable and refreshing atmosphere across the region.
According to the Meteorological Department, the rainfall and strong winds are the result of a combined effect of a western disturbance and moisture-laden air currents. Similar weather conditions have also been observed in several parts of northern India.
The department has issued weather alerts for multiple regions, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana. Forecasts indicate that many areas of northwestern India are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by gusty winds until June 19, providing continued relief from the prevailing summer conditions.
