Beijing: Following a series of important agreements with Bangladesh, including cooperation on port development and the management of the Teesta River, China has stated that its partnership with Bangladesh is not intended to target any third country. The statement comes at a time when India is closely observing the evolving ties between Bangladesh and China. Recently, Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Tarique Rahman selected China as the destination for his first official foreign visit. During the visit, representatives from both nations agreed to strengthen collaboration on Teesta River management and other water-related initiatives. The development is being viewed as a significant step in the region’s evolving diplomatic landscape.
