A district and sessions court in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, has sentenced Viraj, also known as Jitendra Pathak, to death for the murder of an 18-month-old child named Aarav. The police filed the charge sheet within just six days of the incident, while the court delivered its verdict in only 40 days.
The crime took place on May 30 in Yadav Colony, Shikohabad, where the accused allegedly killed the toddler in a brutal manner. The incident sparked widespread public outrage across the area. Police acted swiftly, arresting the accused soon after the crime. Following an expedited trial, the court found him guilty and awarded the death penalty.
