Veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away on October 8 at the age of 75. He was reportedly found unconscious at his residence in Goa after experiencing severe chest pain. A medical team was called to the spot, following which he was taken to Manipal Hospital. Doctors performed CPR for nearly 45 minutes but could not revive him. He was declared dead at around 5:20 am. Born as Vishwanath Patekar, Nana began his film career with Gaman in 1978. He earned widespread recognition through films such as Parinda, Krantiveer, Agni Sakshi, Ab Tak Chhappan and Natsamrat. He received three National Film Awards and the Padma Shri.
