Alleging irregularities and electoral malpractices in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, 11 prominent leaders of the India Block launched a protest against the Chief Election Commissioner. Senior leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and Priyanka Gandhi, led a peaceful protest march from Barakhamba toward the Supreme Court. However, police stopped the march near Mandi House citing security reasons. Additionally, opposition parties filed a joint petition in the Supreme Court demanding an immediate halt to the SIR process and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
