New Delhi: During a hearing in the Supreme Court on Friday, a lawyer representing the petitioner engaged in inappropriate conduct inside the courtroom. In the middle of the proceedings, the lawyer used offensive language and threw case-related documents into the air, disrupting the hearing. As the situation escalated, security personnel escorted the lawyer out of the courtroom.
The matter concerned a challenge to a judgment delivered by the Allahabad High Court. While the bench expressed strong displeasure over the lawyer’s behavior, it chose not to initiate contempt proceedings. After examining the case records, the Supreme Court declined to interfere with the High Court’s decision and dismissed the Special Leave Petition (SLP).
