New Delhi. In a major relief to all the pilots fired last year, the Delhi High Court on Tuesday overturned the company’s decision last year and ordered their reinstatement. Justice Jyoti Singh gave this direction to Air India and in his order, he said that these pilots will also have to pay old allowances. The High Court also said that the decision to extend the contract of pilots working on contract in future will be taken by Air India on the basis of their performance. The High Court said that detailed orders in the matter would be available only on Wednesday. The High Court passed the order on over 40 petitions filed by pilots whose jobs were terminated by Air India on August 13 last year.
