The Union Health Ministry issued an advisory about this
New Delhi. Vaccination work is also going on vigorously in India amid the second wave of Corona. Out of the people who have been vaccinated so far, only a small number of cases have been reported in which a blood clot has been reported or the condition has worsened after vaccination. This has been claimed in the report submitted to the Union Ministry of Health by the National Adverse Event Following Immunization Committee.
Let us know that in March this year, several countries had issued an alert regarding the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine (which is available in India as Kovishield), because in many cases, cases of death due to blood clot after vaccine. Came to the fore. After which deep research was done on this issue in India.
The research committee found that by April 3, 2021, 7.5 crore vaccine doses had been given in the country, of which 6.5 crore was the first dose and about one crore was the second dose. During this time, a total of 23 thousand problem cases were registered, which were from 684 districts of the country. But out of these 23 thousand, there were only 700 cases which were very serious, which is an average of only 9.8 cases per million vaccine doses. A total of 498 cases of serious cases were studied by the committee, out of which only 26 cases were characterized by blood clots, which occurred only after the introduction of coviciled vaccine. However, no such case was registered after the introduction of covaxine. The report of the committee claims that the amount of blood clot in India is very low but in which these cases have been found, there are solid ones. In India, these cases were 0.6 cases per one million doses, whereas in the UK, this is 4 cases per million.
Now the advisory has also been issued by the Union Ministry of Health and if healthworkers and people taking the vaccine see any such symptoms within 20 days of vaccination, then they can inform the hospital about this .. These include chest pain, shortness of breath, swelling or excessive pain in the arm, red marks on the vaccinated area, abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, persistent headache, persistent pain in any part or part of the body, Vomiting without reason, eye pain, double vision or any symptom that you find yourself serious. However, the committee has made it clear in its report that Kovishield is a good vaccine used in India, which has given excellent results. This vaccine reduces the problems caused by the corona.
