New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag recently recalled an incident from his playing days, revealing that he came very close to scoring a third triple century in Test cricket but missed the milestone after following the advice of then-captain Rahul Dravid. During the 2009 Test match against Sri Lanka in Mumbai, Sehwag was batting brilliantly and had reached 284 runs, putting him within touching distance of the coveted 300-run mark. Reflecting on the moment, he said that the decision taken at that time later felt like one of the biggest regrets of his career. Sehwag remains widely regarded as one of the most fearless and aggressive batters in the history of Indian Test cricket.
