Rohtak. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has put a stop to rumors of lockdown in Haryana amid uncontrollable corona epidemic across the country. CM Khattar, while addressing the people of the state directly on television on Tuesday through ‘Haryana Ki Baat’ program, said that strict compliance of all the rules will be ensured to protect the corona. He appealed to the workers to remain relaxed and engaged in their work, there is no need to panic in any way. They will not be allowed to face any kind of difficulty. The government stands with them. Had to be faced, but this time no lockdown would be imposed in Haryana, keeping in mind the interests of laborers and workers, especially those working on daily and monthly wages. He assured the people of the state that the government is ready to deal with any situation arising due to the increase in Kovid-19 cases. To ensure adequate medical arrangements, the government has recently held talks with DRDO officials to set up a 500 to 1000 bedded Kovid hospital in Panipat. This hospital will be used in case of emergency.
CM Khattar said that the state is going through a difficult phase once again. There is a steady increase in corona cases, which is worrying. In the last one and a half months, the number of new cases of corona has reached about 7000 in one day. To deal with this, a state level Kovid Monitoring Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Health Minister Anil Vij which is constantly monitoring the status of Kovid in the state. He said that hospitals have adequate amounts of oxygen, ICU beds, ventilators, masks and PPE kits etc. There is no shortage of oxygen in hospitals right now. Liquid oxygen is being produced in the oxygen plant of Panipat. The Chief Minister said that like last year, this year also wheat procurement is being done under the shadow of Corona. This time too, Kovid protocol is being ensured by the state government in mandis and procurement centers. This time 77 procurement centers with 396 mandis have been built. About 6 million tonnes of wheat has arrived in the mandis. Out of this, 53 lakh tonnes have been procured and 25 lakh tonnes have been lifted. So far, about Rs 2785 crore has been paid to the farmers of the state directly in their accounts.
