A robbery attempt aboard a moving train in Andhra Pradesh was successfully thwarted before it could escalate into a serious incident. The event took place in Guntur district during the night between Bapatla and Appikatla railway stations, where a group of miscreants allegedly targeted passengers traveling on the Circar Express.
According to reports, the suspects tried to steal passengers’ belongings and attempted to snatch a gold chain from a woman. The situation came to light when the woman raised an alarm, alerting others on board.
Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel deployed on the train responded immediately and took prompt action to address the threat. Their quick intervention prevented the offenders from carrying out their plan and helped ensure the safety and security of the passengers. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and further inquiries are underway.
