Major Expansion of West Bengal Cabinet: 35 New Ministers Sworn In

Kolkata witnessed a significant expansion of the state cabinet on Monday as the government inducted a large number of new ministers. During a swearing-in ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan, the Governor administered the oath of office and secrecy to 35 newly appointed ministers. The new appointments include 13 Cabinet Ministers, 19 Ministers of State, and 3 Ministers of State with Independent Charge.

Following this expansion, the total strength of the Council of Ministers has increased to 41. The government has emphasized inclusive representation by ensuring participation from diverse regions and social groups in the newly formed cabinet. Political observers believe that the move is aimed at strengthening the party’s organizational structure across the state while enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative governance.
