Lucknow: Following a stern warning from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Police launched an extensive statewide operation against criminal elements. Over the past 24 hours, multiple police actions resulted in the death of a wanted criminal carrying a cash reward, while 20 accused individuals were taken into custody. According to police officials, several offenders were also injured during encounters conducted across different districts.
The deceased suspect had a bounty of ₹50,000 on his head and was wanted in connection with the murder of a student in Ghaziabad. Among those arrested was an individual accused in the killing of a young child in Firozabad. The state government has reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order, directing law enforcement agencies to continue taking firm action against criminal activities and ensuring public safety throughout the state.
