Vivek Lal said Rubio’s visit to India came at the right time

Washington: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio used his four-day visit to India to strengthen Quad cooperation and reassure New Delhi that the Trump administration still considers the Indo-Pacific region a key strategic priority. This was highlighted by analysts and members of the business community. The visit marked Rubio’s first trip to India as the U.S. Secretary of State.

According to media reports, Dr. Vivek Lal, CEO of General Atomics Global Corporation, described the visit as both timely and important. He stated that the trip offered an excellent opportunity for both nations to re-engage in strategic dialogue and establish a shared strategic direction.

He further noted that India-U.S. relations have now reached a crucial stage, with continuous growth in defense cooperation, major agreements, and joint military exercises. He emphasized that the partnership between the two countries is highly strategic in nature. Speaking about the Quad, Lal said the group is once again gaining momentum. The Quad includes Australia, India, Japan, and the United States.
