New Delhi . DCP New Delhi has written a letter to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on February 6, asking farmers to be ready to close the 12 metro stations on short notice if required, regarding the agricultural laws on February 6. The Delhi Police has made elaborate arrangements regarding the farmers’ deed. Although the nation’s capital Delhi, UP and Uttarakhand have been kept free from Chakkajam, the police do not want to take any risk after the violence during the tractor parade on Republic Day.
In a letter written to the metro officer, the Delhi Police has said that if asked to close 12 metro stations in New Delhi area on short notice, then be prepared for it. The DCP has said that in view of the law and order situation and to control the crowd, these are metro stations – Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, Lok Kalyan Marg, Janpath, Mandi House, Ashram, Supreme Court, Khan Market and Shivaji Stadium (Airport Express Line).
