The Standard Operating Procedure of the Union Health Ministry states that at Haridwar Kumbh Mela, devotees must bring the corona’s negative RT-PCR test report (not older than 72 hours), only then entry will be received in the fair. It is likely that 10 lakh people will come daily during the fair, while 50 lakh people can come during the festival bath or royal bath. The fair can start from 27 February to 30 April 2021. The Uttarakhand government will have to ensure that only those health workers and front-line workers are posted at the Kumbh Mela, which has got the corona vaccine.
Uttarakhand government will have to undertake this yatra on the lines of Amarnath Yatra. Registration of all the devotees will be done and mandatory medical certificate will have to be brought. The devotees who want to come to the Kumbh Mela will have to register with the Uttarakhand government and also have to bring a medical certificate from their nearest community health center or district hospital or medical college. The Uttarakhand government will have to promote this thing well in all states.
Those pilgrims who do not bring medical certificates will not be allowed to enter the Kumbh Mela. People above 65 years of age, pregnant women, children below 10 years and people suffering from chronic serious illness should be discouraged from visiting the Kumbh Mela.
