New Delhi: After announcing the Class 12 examination results, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has now begun preparations for the compartment examinations. According to information released by the board, the CBSE Class 12 compartment exam will be conducted on July 15, 2026. More than 163,800 students are expected to appear for the examination.
This year, the overall pass percentage in the CBSE Class 12 board examinations stood at 85.20 percent. Girls outperformed boys once again, recording a pass percentage of 88.86 percent, while the pass percentage among boys was 82.13 percent.
Students who could not secure the required marks in one or two subjects need not lose hope. The board will provide them with another opportunity through the compartment examination, allowing them to improve their results and continue their academic journey without major disruption.
CBSE has also announced that the registration process for the compartment examination will begin on June 2, 2026. Eligible students will be able to submit their applications within the prescribed timeline to appear for the exam.
