An aircraft going from Lucknow to Mumbai had to land in an emergency at Nagpur airport on Tuesday morning after which an ailing eight-year-old girl traveling there was taken to the hospital where she died.
The child was traveling in a plane with her parents. Police officials gave this information. Officials at the Sonegaon police station said that the girl was a resident of Saherikhas village in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharth Nagar district and was being taken from Lucknow to Mumbai for treatment.
She said the girl’s condition deteriorated during the journey and the plane was diverted to an emergency at Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport here. Officials said the girl was rushed to a government hospital where she died.
