Washington: Amid escalating military tensions in West Asia, the United States has taken a significant strategic step by deploying its highly capable amphibious assault warship, USS Boxer, from California. According to various international reports, the vessel is advancing toward Iran alongside its accompanying ships, USS Portland and USS Comstock.
The fleet is carrying approximately 2,500 personnel from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, known for their combat readiness and rapid response capabilities. In light of the ongoing tensions with Iran, the United States is expediting efforts to complete the deployment of nearly 8,000 troops in the region.
