New Delhi: The first group of more than 70 Indian students and tourists who had been in Iran arrived safely in New Delhi on Sunday morning. The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association confirmed that the students reached India via Armenia. The news has brought significant relief to families who had been deeply concerned about the safety of their children in the conflict-affected region.
The journey back home was far from easy for the students. They traveled by bus from different cities in Iran, crossing the border into Armenia through a long and challenging road trip. From there, they boarded a flight from Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan to Dubai. Afterward, they took a connecting flight to New Delhi, landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport at around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday.
The return of this first group of students was made possible through commercial flights.
