Infiltration Attempt Foiled One Terrorist Killed

Poonch: A Pakistani terrorist was killed in the Uri sector of Baramulla district in Kashmir. The operation was launched after personnel of the Indian Army noticed suspicious movement near the Line of Control (LoC). Subsequently, a joint operation was carried out by the Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

During the night of March 14–15, the infiltrating terrorist opened fire in the Buchar area while attempting to cross the border. In the ensuing action, the terrorist was neutralized. Security forces recovered weapons from the militant, including an AK rifle, a pistol, and ammunition. The operation is currently ongoing.

Meanwhile, under the ongoing Operation Sherikalan in Poonch on Saturday, a Junior Commissioned Officer of the Army was martyred. The soldier has been identified as Subedar Sandeep Kumar Dhaka. According to the White Knight Corps, Dhaka slipped and fell while performing his duties in the rugged terrain of Surankote.
