Prayagraj: Four teenagers lost their lives after drowning in a pond located in Kusuwa village under the Puramufti police station area of Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh. As news of the tragic incident spread, panic and grief engulfed the village, and a large crowd gathered at the site.

According to officials at the Puramufti police station, the youths had gone to bathe in a pond situated about one kilometer away from the village. During this time, all four reportedly drowned. The bodies have been recovered and sent for post-mortem examination. Among the deceased were three minors and one young adult. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

Local residents suspect that while playing near the pond, the boys may have unknowingly entered a deeper section of the water and drowned one after another. This suspicion is supported by the discovery of the children’s clothes and slippers along the edge of the pond, indicating their presence in the area.

When the children failed to return home for a long time, their families began searching for them. Eventually, a search was conducted inside the pond, leading to the recovery of all four bodies.
