Despite Pakistan announcing that it will not play the T20 World Cup cricket match against India, the Indian team will travel to Sri Lanka as per the pre-decided schedule for this fixture. Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has asked Pakistan to reconsider its decision. However, if Pakistan does not do so, it is certain to face consequences.
The reason is that the Indian team will still report to the stadium for the scheduled match against Pakistan. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav will also go to the Colombo ground for the toss. If Pakistan fails to take the field, India will be declared the winner and will be awarded two points.
