New Delhi: The Supreme Court has expressed serious concern over the misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in judicial proceedings. During the hearing, the Court observed that while AI is a valuable technological tool, its improper use can undermine the credibility of the justice system. It emphasized that the final determination of facts and judicial decisions must always rely on human judgment, reasoning, and discretion. The remarks came while hearing a case in which fabricated AI-generated citations were presented before the Court. The Supreme Court cautioned that technology must be used responsibly, ethically, and with a strong commitment to accuracy and truthfulness.
