New Delhi: Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced that she intends to return to Bangladesh around December 2026 and surrender before the court. During a telephone conversation, she stated that she is fully aware of the possibility of being arrested and the risks to her life, but remains determined to return despite these concerns.
Speaking emotionally, Hasina said that if she were to die, she would want it to happen on the soil of her homeland, where her parents are buried. She also alleged that leaders and supporters of her political party continue to face sustained pressure and legal action.
