Lucknow: Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant has held his team’s batting unit responsible for the heavy defeat against Rajasthan Royals. He stated that while the bowlers delivered a commendable performance, the batters failed to capitalize, ultimately costing the team the match.
Chasing a target of 160 runs, Lucknow’s lineup struggled and was restricted to just 119 runs. Following the loss, the captain placed the blame squarely on the underwhelming batting display. In this match, apart from Pant, both Ayush Badoni and Aiden Markram were dismissed for zero, while only Mitchell Marsh managed to contribute significantly with 55 runs.
