Washington. Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s visit to the United States has elevated India–U.S. economic and strategic relations to a new level. Following the start of U.S. President Donald Trump’s second term, both countries are moving swiftly to strengthen bilateral cooperation. During the visit, Jaishankar met U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to discuss advancing the bilateral economic partnership and strategic collaboration. Bessent also confirmed discussions on securing supply chains, along with other national and economic security issues.
