New Delhi. As discussions began in Parliament following the presentation of the Budget, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a special and inspiring message for the nation’s youth. Through an ancient Sanskrit verse, the Prime Minister connected the long-term objectives of the Budget with the potential, capability, and self-reliance of young Indians.

Sharing the verse “Nambhodhirarthitāmeti sadāmbhobhiśca pūryate. Ātmā tu pātratāṁ neyaḥ pātramāyānti sampadaḥ” on social media, the Prime Minister explained its meaning: just as the vast ocean never begs for water yet always remains full, in the same way, when a person makes themselves capable and deserving, wealth and success are naturally drawn toward them. He encouraged the youth by saying that self-reliance is the lamp that illuminates the path of self-respect and strength. This Budget, he said, will play a vital role in empowering young citizens.

Earlier, while praising the Budget, the Prime Minister described it as a unique blend of high capital expenditure and high growth. He emphasized that it not only aims to control the fiscal deficit and curb inflation but also seeks to take the pace of development to new heights. The Budget includes major initiatives to strengthen infrastructure, such as dedicated freight corridors, expansion of inland waterways, and high-speed rail corridors. Additionally, promoting municipal bonds to drive economic growth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities is a decisive step toward realizing the vision of a developed India.
