New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate a series of development projects in Gujarat on October 30 and 31, and will also participate in the National Unity Day celebrations.
On October 30, at around 5:15 p.m., the Prime Minister will flag off electric buses in Ekta Nagar to promote green mobility. Later, at 6:30 p.m., he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various infrastructure and development projects worth over ₹1,140 crore. These initiatives aim to enhance the tourism experience, improve regional connectivity, and promote eco-tourism and sustainable development.
Among the projects to be inaugurated are the Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla, Hospitality District (Phase-I) in Garudeshwar, Vaman Vriksh Vatika, Satpura Security Wall, E-bus Charging Depot with 25 electric buses, Narmada Ghat Expansion, and Smart Bus Stops (Phase-II).
Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stones for several new projects, including the Museum of India’s Princely States, Veer Balak Udyan, Sports Complex, and Rainforest Project. To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a special ₹150 commemorative coin and postage stamp will also be released.
On October 31, at 8 a.m., Prime Minister Modi will pay floral tributes to Sardar Patel at the Statue of Unity. This will be followed by the National Unity Day celebrations, where he will administer the unity pledge to citizens and review the parade. The parade will feature contingents from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and various state police forces. Special highlights will include marching contingents of Indian dog breeds such as Rampur Hounds and Mudhol Hounds, the Gujarat Police Horse Cavalry, and a motorcycle daredevil show by the Assam Police.
The event will also honor recipients of gallantry awards from the security forces. Ten states and Union Territories will present thematic tableaux on “Unity in Diversity”, while a grand cultural program featuring around 900 artists will showcase the rich diversity and traditions of Indian culture.
Following this, the Prime Minister will interact with 660 officer trainees of the 100th Common Foundation Course under Aarambh 7.0, which is based on the theme “Reimagining Governance.”
