New Delhi: According to government oil companies, petrol in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar district has become cheaper by 26 paise and is now retailing at ₹94.90 per litre, while diesel has declined by 30 paise to ₹88.01 per litre. In Dehradun, the capital of the hill state of Uttarakhand, petrol has also fallen by 26 paise to ₹93.43 per litre, and diesel by 31 paise to ₹88.33 per litre.
In contrast, prices have risen in Patna, the capital of Bihar, where petrol has increased by 35 paise to ₹105.58 per litre and diesel by 33 paise to ₹91.82 per litre.
Among major cities across the country, petrol is selling at ₹94.77 per litre and diesel at ₹87.67 per litre in Delhi; petrol at ₹103.44 and diesel at ₹89.97 in Mumbai; petrol at ₹104.95 and diesel at ₹91.76 in Kolkata; and petrol at ₹101.03 and diesel at ₹92.61 per litre in Chennai.
