New Delhi: BJP MP and film actress Kangana Ranaut is currently facing a defamation case. Reports suggest that 82-year-old Mahinder Kaur has decided to continue pursuing the case against her. Kaur stated that Ranaut has never come to meet her and that she will not forgive her.

The defamation case stems from Kangana Ranaut’s retweet of one of Kaur’s tweets with her own comment attached. On Monday, Ranaut appeared before a Bathinda court in connection with the case and clarified that there had been a misunderstanding regarding her 2021 tweet. She stated that she holds every mother in high regard.

Last September, the court had directed the BJP Lok Sabha member from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, to appear in person and had rejected her plea to attend the proceedings via video conference. Prior to Ranaut’s appearance, security was tightened in and around the Bathinda court premises.
