New Delhi: The Lok Sabha on Monday passed the Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025, which will replace the existing ordinance issued earlier this year. Following the passage of the bill, the House was adjourned till 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, after the conclusion of the first sitting of the Winter Session.
Earlier in the day, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced three key legislative proposals in the Lower House—the Central Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2025, the Health Security National Security Cess Bill, 2025, and the Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025.
