Iran dismisses US President’s claims as false and misleading
Washington: A verbal confrontation has erupted between US President Donald Trump and Iran over the sentencing of women protesters. Trump has claimed that following his intervention, Iran has cancelled the execution of eight women protesters. However, Iran has firmly rejected these assertions, describing them as misleading and untrue.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump described the development as a major diplomatic victory. He stated, “This is very good news. I have been informed that eight women protesters will no longer be executed. Four of them are being released immediately, while the remaining four will be freed from prison after one month. I appreciate the Iranian leadership for accepting my appeal.”
