New Delhi: The prolonged tensions and conflict between the United States and Iran had a significant impact on global trade and supply chains. Amid these challenging circumstances, India accelerated its efforts to safeguard its economy by advancing a strategy focused on trade diversification. The country made notable progress toward finalizing a free trade agreement with the European Union while also taking steps to expand commercial cooperation with the United States and Gulf nations.

To ensure energy security, India continued importing crude oil from Russia. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook diplomatic visits to several countries with the aim of strengthening new economic and strategic partnerships. These initiatives helped reinforce India’s global interests and enhanced its position in the evolving international economic landscape.
